The best way to see which baby carrier is right for you is by trying them on in person.
The second best way is by using our handy comparison chart!
Factors to consider include your baby's size (newborn or toddler, for example), which way you think you'll most want to carry baby (front, back, or hip), and adjustability (will you be sharing the carrier with another caregiver who might be a different size than you, for example). HOW THE WRAP WORKS
Start by wrapping yourself. There is a rumor that it can take a few tries to learn to wrap, but you will soon get to know your MOBY Wrap and become familiar with how tight you will wrap yourself and as baby grows you will naturally adjust for your growing baby, wrapping for the perfect fit every time.
For newborns an inside pocket is created where the fabric comes from your shoulder and crosses your body. This pocket will hug your little one, allowing them to stay in an upright fetal position that is so important in this stage of development.
For older babies, baby comes in and sits on the
X created by the crisscrossed fabric at your chest. This X cradles baby
in a deep seated position that supports the natural curve of baby's
spine and while allowing you to spread the fabric wide to reach from
knee to knee.
HOW THE MEH DAI WORKS
Start by wrapping yourself. Tie the shorter straps around your waist in a secure double knot. The carrier should look like an apron hanging down your legs, and it should hang to your knees (approx).
Hold the baby so that he or she can wrap his or her legs around your
waist. While supporting the baby, pull the body of the carrier up and
over his or her back. Pull the straps straight up over your shoulders.
Cross the straps across your back while making sure you are pulling them
tight enough to support the baby. Bring the straps back around the
front of your body and tie a secure double knot at the height of the top
of your baby's diaper.
HOW THE BUCKLE TIE WORKS
Start by wrapping yourself. Buckle the bottom strap so that it sits on your hipbones. Hold your baby so that he or she can wrap his or her legs around your waist. Toss the straps over your shoulders and position your baby deep into the carrier pulling any slack out of the carrier. The headrest should support his or her head. Cross the straps across your back while making sure you are pulling them tight enough to support your baby. Bring the straps back around to your front and tie them with a secure double knot under your baby's bottom.
